Premium Tracker

Prices are collected once daily from multiple major online bullion dealers and averaged together. The data reflects standard retail pricing for single-unit purchases at the time of collection.

We don't disclose which specific dealers are included. The data is anonymized and presented as an average to provide a general market view rather than a spotlight on any individual dealer. Multiple well-known US online bullion dealers are represented.

Once per day, every morning. The timestamp shown on the tracker tells you exactly when the last collection ran. Premiums can change throughout the day so always verify current pricing directly with dealers before buying.

Automated data collection is imperfect. Dealers run sales, go out of stock, change their website layouts, or have temporary outages that can cause a day's data to be missing or skewed. Treat the chart as a trend indicator, not a precise real-time quote.

It's the dealer's price expressed as a percentage above the silver or gold spot price at the time of collection. A 10% premium on $30 spot silver means the average dealer price was $33. Learn more about premiums here.

Calculators

The calculators pre-fill with the current live spot price, updated every 60 seconds. You can still edit the field manually if needed.

Use the Melt Value Calculator and select the Junk Silver tab. Enter the face value of your dimes, quarters, and halves in dollars (e.g. $10.00 for a $10 face bag), or enter quantities for Morgans, Peace Dollars, 40% Kennedys, and War Nickels. The calculator applies the correct silver content for each coin type automatically.

Yes. Use the Silver/Gold toggle at the top of the Premium Calculator to switch between metals. Gold spot price is pre-filled with the current live price, updated every 60 seconds, just like silver.

Yes. The Premium Calculator has a credit card surcharge field that accepts a percentage rate, a flat dollar amount per coin, or a total dollar amount added to the order. Many dealers charge 3-4% extra for card payments, which adds up fast on larger purchases.
